Founded in 2018, Cherished Pets of Brentwood is built on a passion for helping dogs and their owners create calm, confident, and lasting relationships — with compassionate support at every stage of the journey, including pet loss.

About Cherished Pets
Cherished Pets was founded in 2018 with a simple mission — to help dogs and their owners build strong, trusting, and lifelong bonds.
What started as a passion for working with dogs has grown into a business dedicated not only to training, but to supporting the relationship between you and your dog at every stage of life. From early training and behaviour support to building confidence and understanding, my approach is always tailored, compassionate, and focused on real-life results.
My Journey
Over the years, working closely with dogs and their owners has shown me just how deep and meaningful the human–animal bond truly is.
In 2025, I experienced this first-hand when I lost my own dog, Oscar.
Losing him was one of the most difficult experiences of my life, and it gave me a deeper understanding of the emotional impact that pet loss can have.
That experience slight changed the direction of my work .
Pet Bereavement Support
Following Oscar’s passing, I felt strongly that more support was needed for those going through pet loss — a type of grief that is often misunderstood.
In 2026, I qualified as a Pet Bereavement Counsellor, achieving an Advanced Diploma with Distinction, and trained under Dawn Murray, a leading figure in pet bereavement support worldwide.
This allows me to offer a safe, understanding space for those navigating grief, loss, and the emotional challenges that come with saying goodbye to a beloved pet.
