Expert Training Paired With Compassionate Bereavement Support
The Cherished Method
Cherished Pets of Brentwood began with one very special dog — my beautiful white Akita, Oscar. He was more than a pet; he was my companion, my inspiration, and the reason this journey began.
Through Oscar, I came to understand just how deep the bond between dogs and their owners can be. He taught me the importance of trust, patience, and truly understanding a dog’s needs.
That bond inspired me to create Cherished Pets of Brentwood — a place where dogs and owners can feel supported through training, behaviour guidance, Dog Academy, and compassionate pet bereavement care.
Everything I do is rooted in Oscar’s legacy and in the belief that every dog deserves to be understood, and every owner deserves support.

Puppy Training
Why Early Training Matters
Without clear structure, puppies quickly form habits like biting, pulling, ignoring commands, or becoming overexcited. These behaviours might seem small at first, but if left unaddressed, they often turn into bigger, more stressful issues later on.
Starting training early means:
-
Preventing unwanted behaviours before they become ingrained
-
Creating calm, confident habits from the beginning
-
Reducing frustration and stress for both you and your dog
-
Building a strong foundation for obedience and reliability
Pet Bereavement
Grief after losing a dog can feel overwhelming, and it often comes with emotions people don’t expect—sadness, guilt, confusion, even a sense of emptiness at home.
How Support Can Help
Everyone experiences loss differently, but having the right support can make a real difference.
-
A safe space to talk openly
-
Help processing difficult emotions like guilt or regret
-
Guidance through the change in routine and daily life
-
Understanding from someone who truly recognises the bond between owner and dog
